When I set a step to ON it won’t lit up on the screen.
Regarding sequencer modules it would be nice to have the possibility to hover the steps (without going into the menu) and by clicking the encoder to set the step as on/off (instead of going into the adjust and set ton on/off).
Would it be possible?
Regarding that I’m curious to how you are using these sequencers
You can already almost change parameters on the fly from firmware 2.1 by push and turn the encoder on any parameter control in module view. But, indeed, you must click on the module first when in patch view. You don’t have to open the parameters menu though.
And, yes! The lack of those led feedback on these buttons (We’re NOT speaking about the expander) is really annoying, since the count modula stuff really rocks. Especially on the sequencers.
I finally solved it with modules by “Der Mann mit der Maschine”
Namely “Droid Master18” + “B32”
You can connect the module via USB-C to the MM and you get 2 MIDI IN +
2 MIDI OUT TRS, a versatile scripting language, great controller and a whole bunch of cv outs.
Or perhaps we have to wait for the MK2 version with ws2812b rgb buttons.
My 50ct. (probably a lot more but who cares…it´s a wonderful hobby)
Yeah, they should be lit up.. It looks in the code they’re drawn in a way that’s not compatible with the way the MM draws widgets. It should be a trivial change, I’ll put it on the list to fix
Good to know. Thanks. And I guess, this concerns all the modules that have this feature in this plugin?
Thank you for your awesome work and I wish all the team a merry Christmas.

Ok, I found the issue and “fixed” it. It was due to how VCV renders graphics vs. MetaModule’s optimized way of drawing buttons. And when I ran the updated plugin on MM firmware v2.1.7, all the buttons would default to On if I added a new module to the patch. That ended up being a bug in the firmware, which I fixed in v2.1.9. So – the tldr is to update your firmware and plugins at the same time – CountModula v2.1.0 works best with firmware v2.1.9.
