Expert Sleepers Disting NT Eurorack Module - tested and working
Connected via USB-C ports on both modules. The Disting NT is a class compliant midi (and audio) device that does not function as a midi host. Tested with the arpeggiator, step sequencer and midi file playback algorithms on the Disting NT.
Tubbutec Brainstep Eurorack module - tested and working.
Connected via USB-C ports on both modules. The Brainstep is a “sequencer, arpeggiator, envelope and modulation generator, live performance tool, sample player, clock distributor, and MIDI interface”. The Brainstep can configure itself as a MIDI host or a class client MIDI device depending on the connection.
The Instruō Pocket Scíon test went great~~~ Instruō released this product about two days ago, and after watching the introduction I realized it should pair really well with the Metamodule. After testing, I found that they work together perfectly. I can use VCV Rack to break down five polyphonic signals, or design some polyphonic patches inside VCV Rack for the Scíon to trigger. I had a lot of fun experimenting with it!
(This is my video using the Metamodule together with the Instruō Pocket Scíon, for reference.)
Try to hook up an LDR to the sensor input and place it near a window on a cloudy windy day. The effect is amazing. Oh and there are even some cheap radar sensors on aliexpress with an analog output.
Stoermelder pack one has some modules like midi cat VCV Library - stoermelder MIDI-CAT that can solve the problem … I hope it would be ported soon on MM ….
Similar story here with a Touché SE. Can’t get it to work plugging directly in (which would be a dream!), but sending it through a Kenton MIDI USB Host mk3 has been a suitable workaround for now.
tried the https://www.cme-pro.com/c2midi-pro/ which is a MIDI Interface with routing and filter options.that can even be used, when it is not used as an interface.
I can report that PC → MidiTech Midface 16x16 → Female-Female DIN adapters - Lekato Midi-USBC adapter → USB C Meta input path works, delivering midi note, gates etc. from Ableton LIve and anything midi plugged in as an input to the Live channel.
The Lekato has a small casing between the midi side and the USB C with a power light, and leds that flash when sending and receiving midi data, so you can see something is going on.
I am pleased to have got that working now, so the 4ms Meta can join in the to midi stuff as well as the modular gear.
