Hi,

Im connection the meta to a windows computer to ee if I can send midi data from /to metamodule but it doesnt not show as a midi device even though I cand send midi to the usb from other devices (Droid, disting etc)

Can this be done?

Is there no driver for windows? Sorry havent tried on a mac yet.

i have been able to control the mm from a windows laptop using 2 of these:

both of them were connected t ogether using these couplers:

midi out on the mm doesn’t work yet so you can only control the mm from windows, ios or osx with the adapters above, not the other way around.

Yes I can get it to work with those too (mine the un one from roland).

Just wondering why it won’t work with a direct usb cable connection.

I believe it is because the USB port on the MM only functions as a “MIDI Host”. I don’t think it is possible to directly connect two devices that are “MIDI hosts” via a USB cable. Your computer is a MIDI Host, which means that you cannot directly connect it to the MM.
