Tried search but did not find a post referencing.

Do we know the planned size of future TRS MIDI Input and Output Expander please?

You know how it is, space in the rack screaming to be filled, holding off as best I can lol

How about an “Exper Sleepers FH-2” or “Befaco MIDI THING V2” ?

I’m using vcmc USB and works great. I think the only downside is one USB and taking up the only one.

I use the VCMC too! I have it running through a CME H4MIDI WC. It works great and allows me to connect multiple midi devices to control the MM and other modules in my case!

I would really appreciate knowing the anticipated HP hit of this, as well. Just got an MM and trying to work out the intricacies of USB MIDI in Eurorack has been way more complicated than I anticipated, what with host/client and adapter conversion to various, inconsistent TRS MIDI specs. Good times!

I don’t think 4ms has issued any statements yet on the next expansion module to be released. Back when the MetaModule was being prototyped they demoed a 6hp module with a MIDI TRS input, an I2C jack and six gate in/outs ( 4ms Company MetaDig - Eurorack Module on ModularGrid ). Instead of that module I would prefer a 2hp wide module with MIDI TRS in/.out jacks. Perhaps 4ms will have some info on what is upcoming with respect to new expansion modules at Superbooth 2026.

Thanks; that’s helpful. I’m not terribly keen on that proto, either. I’d ideally like to see TRS midi in and a few TRS midi outs along with a “client” USB port so I can connect it and use my PC as host.
