I have a Substack where I post a fair bit about music and tech, here’s my latest post with my pick of favourite modules I’ve used so far from v2.
Be great to hear other people’s favourites too, I’ve still a fair bit to explore…

It makes me really happy to see the new ports making it into this list
Those new ports have made me very happy indeed - huge thanks for your work on them!
@InvictusHifi Thank you for the link to your article. The good thing about the V2 firmware is that we now have a huge number of available plug-ins at our disposal. But with that expansion it is much harder to discover the gems in the ever expanding universe of MM compatible plug-ins, especially for those who have not spent much time in VCV prior to acquiring a MM. Others may not share my opinion, but there is a lot of redundant and/or mediocre plug-ins in our new universe, and it is good to have resources that help to identify the good and great plug-ins worthy of exploration.
Thanks - and yes, as with all such ecosystems there is a risk of a ‘tyranny of choice’ as more and more options become available.
Maybe we need a rating system longer term so the good stuff gets noticed - although looks like VCV Rack doesn’t have one so maybe that might be seen as being too much of a contrast to that platform?
Great to see the MM getting more exposure. My favourite suite of modules so far are CV Funk.
“It makes me really happy to see the new ports making it into this list” Your posts make me happy and immediately distracted for 4-5 hours at a time. Do you have this impact on many people?
Great write up and reminded me to check out the Moffenzeef modules. I love QPAS in my hardware setup so knowing that QuePasa gets close to it is ideal.
Thanks!
I’ve not used the original QPAS so it may not but even so it’s really cool sounding filter
Thank you !! This list and your description is awesome, so inspired to try these out.
