@danngreen - Will the wifi and future expanders have silver panels, and if so, could they be purchased with the silver as a complete module? For now, I was only planning on getting the gate/midi expander, and possibly the wifi one. The other expanders are great, but I tend to make simpler patches on the MM, and the extra IO/buttons/knobs would not as useful to me for now.
EDIT: Since the Modulargrid pages for 4ms are manufacturer pages and not publicly editable, could someone from 4ms add the alt panels to the Modulargrid pages Metamodule and the expanders? Thanks! I’m a mod there, but I don’t alter non-public pages.
If there’s interest in these ones, we’ll keep making silver panels for future expanders.
For the Wi-Fi expander, the faceplate cannot be made of metal or else it interferes with the Wi-Fi signal. We could do white PCB (which would be cheap), but we can’t do aluminum. I’m not sure if white would look better next to bare aluminum vs. glossy white?

Already received my panel, but I noticed as I’m installing it, that it is missing the screen cover, and I’m not able to reuse the old one since it is glued to the original black panel.
Was this intentionally left off or did mine arrive just arrive without it?
It shouldn’t be glued in, just a tight fit. You can definitely pop it out in order to install it in the new panel.
On mine, the 4 corners are definitely glued in. You can see the spots of adhesive. I tried pushing it a bit, but the plastic started to look like it was flexing too much and I stopped.
Ah, we forgot that some windows are indeed glued. We will ship you a fresh window and all orders of silver MM panels will ship with new windows.

I doubt that the WiFi module will get a silver panel. The aluminum would interfere with the WiFi signal.
Will the silver faceplates only be available from the official store or will they get wider distribution?
Dealers can order them from 4ms. If you have a favorite local dealer, ask them to order one for you.
