Shortcut for switching between knobset and buttons view

Hi @danngreen ,

What about switching between these two views by click and hold encoder (for 1 sec) or click encoder + back button? Or did I miss something?

Cheers.

There was the idea floated for a button combo (like holding down Back and the encoder click) to jump to the KnobSet page, which I like the idea of.
Maybe if there are button maps in the patch and you hit the combo again, it goes to the button page? Then hit it a third time to go back to the patch view?

Hi Dan.

Thanks for your reply.

This request was more about navigating easily between knobset and it’s corresponding buttons view. But a shortcut to access knobset from patch view would also be more than welcome. Hitting back button from knobset or buttonset view already drives back to patch view, so I think theres no need about that.

Thanks again and again

Cheers

Good point, Back already takes you to the Patch View page. I guess what I was getting at (now that I’m thinking more in depth about it) is that if we add the feature for a button combo to jump to the Knob Set page, pressing that same combo again could alternate back and forth between the Button Map and Knob Set views.

In the mean time, there’s already a fast way to switch between Knob Set and Button Map views:
From the Knob Set view, turn the encoder four clicks backwards to scroll to the Button Map view. Once you’re there, turning it one click forward will scroll back to the Knob Set view. Turning it one click backwards will go back to the Button Map. So you can toggle views by turning the encoder one click in alternating directions. That’s probably the fastest way possible since there’s no long-holding or multiple buttons to press. But you do have to remember to turn it forward to go the Button Map and backwards to go to the Knob Map pages.

I’ll try this. May all these shortcuts and tricks would worth a cheat sheet…
