Sequencer with "Song Mode" for Meta Module?

Greetings-
I am wondering if there are any sequencers available for the Meta Module that have a workable “song mode”. It would match this basic description-

“Must haves”:
Multiple tracks
Tracks capable of sending pitch+gate/triggers
Tracks capable of running at different speeds
Tracks capable of different lengths
Some sort of way to arrange the tracks and save them in a “song” format.
Accepts external clock

That’s what I am looking for. An existing (but not ported) example of these capabilities in one unit is the TrowaSoft MultiSeq, which probably isn’t going to be ported anytime soon if ever (discussion covered in a different thread). I’ve hunted through the Meta Module’s available options over the past couple months, but stuff keeps getting added and I am sure it’s possible I have missed a few too. Anything out there? Thanks in advance.

the sickocell trigger/step station modules maybe? they offer 32 pattern and recall but only 16 steps total. i do like the fact that one can set the length separately for each of the 8 lanes

the count modula 64 sequencer has all the steps, but no pattern mode afaict. i guess one could daisy chain a series of them to create a song. possibly with the jw arrange module

edit: i suppose one could also chain 2x step/trigger sequencers together to achieve more than 16 steps but the logic for that, i have no idea

A really simple method of doing this would be to use sequential switches to either toggle between the final stereo outputs or even keep the sound sources the same and toggle between different sequences/clocks.

As far as drum patterns (or even gate patterns for notes), the SV Modular drum sequencer lets you store sequences/gate patterns and has 16 x 16 x 8 memory. A lot of potential there.

Hey @Ross -
Thank you for the suggestion I appreciate it. For simple sequences of sequences (lol) a sequential switch works well and it’s pretty much what I do, and if you are the “Ross” I think you might be you’ll be happy to know I use “Count” for this frequently.

Unfortunately this method becomes kinda problematic or kinda impractical for more complex ideas. It can also be kinda burdensome when you want to go pattern 1-2-1-2-1-2-3-4 (for a basic example) because with a switch you either have to add another trig/gate to reverse it or have multiple copies of the same sequence to have them in order. I’m just hoping to find something more self-contained for the complex stuff.

And yeah I use the SV Modular drum sequencer sometimes, when I am not using Count/Mito/Deviant combo. One of my favorite combos for more generative/chaotic stuff…

I had a reply to this all written and I guess I never pressed the button, lol. Great suggestions for sure. I’ve been playing around with “Arrange” and it’s not a bad stab at a solution I need to mess with it more. As far as the Sicko stuff, I’ve been playing with those for a while and yeah 16 steps can be pretty restrictive for some stuff, by my main beef with those is not being able to get it to save the sequences for some reason. It’s definitely a user error and I have RTFM’ed a bunch but still not successfuly gotten it to work right. Brain farts or whatever. I haven’t given up…

yeah i noticed this issue with it as well, it was very difficult to save (im not exactly sure what i did but i was able to get it to save). perhaps @sickozell may have more insight on the exact procedure for saving sequences with trigger/step stations?

Sweet!
I still have my GMO (bought on release). We had a random convo over email where you were giving me advice about coding for modules back then. I never got anywhere with it but I still remember how gracious you were with your time and knowledge. Cheers!

I updated sickozell mm plugin to v0.21

It has several bug fixes on trigStation/stepStation according to v2.7.7 vcv release.

It can be downladed here [Release Release v0.21 · sickozell/SickozellMM · GitHub]
