SCM Boom Bap with MetaModule

Here’s a fun one from this week:

SCM Boom Bap with MetaModule

This patch revolves around the SCM’s ability to create funky shuffled grooves. The only knob broken out from the SCM is rotate. Slip, shuffle, and skip are dialed in to very precise ranges so that the groove sounds good at all rotation states. This creates a global knob for changing the rhythm.

External Audio Path:
-Main audio outputs on channel 1 and 2

Internal Audio Path:
-All drums are running into an 8 channel mixer
-A simple monophonic bass patch consisting of a square wave VCO, a VCF, and a VCA are running into the mixer.
-The mixer is then fed into a master distortion module

Internal Logic Path:
-Clocks from an LFO drive the QCD
-Outputs from the QCD drive the SCM, a hi hat, and a snare drum
-Outputs from the SCM clock all of the drums and the sequencer

Internal CV Path:
-Voltages from a sequencer are quantized and sent to the bass patch

MetaModule knob mappings:
A - SCM rotate
B - Kick drum decay
C - Quantizer note offset
D - Bass filter cutoff
E - Bass filter CV attenuverter
F - Bass EG release time

Feeling dumb- I’m trying to sync this to a clock. I actually have a physical QCD right here, one of the first modules I ever bought several years ago.

I want to connect MM’s QCD CLK IN to a physical gate in jack. But it only gives me options to connect to output jacks. Which seems wrong, it’s an input.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey zymos, you need to replace the LFO going into the virtual QCD with a MM gate input like this:

That’s what I was trying to do, but it only was letting me pick an output for the QCD’s clock in jacks.
Not sure what I was doing wrong…
