Reverse delay module

Hi everyone,

As far as I can tell, there’s currently no way to get a proper continuous reverse delay on the MetaModule. As you know, the DLD has a REV input, but that’s not really the same thing — it reverses the current buffer, which is also being written to in real time, so you can’t get the classic effect of hearing a reversed echo of what you just played, looping continuously.

A dedicated reverse delay module would fill a gap that feels pretty significant for anyone doing ambient, experimental, or guitar-based work.

The only one I found to be close to reverse delay is the Blip/blop function in the msc Hack Ping Pong delay…but it’s full of bugs, hangs frequently and time value does not work at all…

There seem to be a “Reverse Delay” module in the VCV Rack library, the Yokai_Holiday Taps (“Two adjustable taps on a record buffer”) that, as description says, perhaps could be a good candidate for a port, but it’s in mono… —

I’m open to any suggestion if something already exists that I’ve missed, or if there’s another path forward.

Thanks in advance,
Valerio
