RD78 DRUM MIXER: All drums output on Metamodule outputs 1 and 2
KICK is duplicated on output 5 for external side chaining (ducking a bassline) . There is a “Kick out level” knob on the “Master Levels” knob set to the level.
All jacks and knobs are labelled and appear on the Metamodule under Jacks and Knob Sets.
Patch includes complete knob mappings for levels, selected panning, reverb sends and tempo delay parameters as well as sends and returns.
RD 78 has 8 separate outputs routed to the inputs as described in the connection sections below.
CONNECTIONS
8 OUTPUTS FROM RD78 TO INPUTS ON METAMDOULE AS FOLLOWS:
- KICK 2. SNARE
- HATS CYMBALS 4. CONGAS AND BONGOS
- CLAP RIMSHOT 6. CLAVE COWBELL
- METALLIC 8. MIXOUT (MIRACA, TAMBOURINE AND GUIRO)
GATE ONE: Input clock from rd78 to override midi-clock to the tempo delay. Midi Clock should is set to receive on Channel 10.
“Snare gain boost” knob on the master levels knob set. The snare output is weak on the RD78. This helps.
The patch can be easily adapted to other drum machines with multiple outputs.
