Random Lock-ups when Playing a Patch

I am still getting random lock-ups where the screen completely freezes while the sequence is playing. I am attaching a file to see if anyone can replicate the freezing.
Crashing File TT 033125.yml (54.9 KB)

Please post which firmware version you are running and what the sample rate and block size settings are.

Firmware v.2.0.0-dev-12.14
Sample Rate: 32K
Block Size: 64

I’m playing this on dev-13 (using dev-13 plugins I compiled but aren’t released yet)
Seems to be running fine.

Dev-13 fixes several issues where the GUI would freeze, so I’m going to assume that this was one of those issues

I’m working on the dev-13 release right now!

OK, good to hear. This was becoming a bummer and a bit of a hinderance to using the MM.

@danngreen I tried a modified version of my test patch (below) and it is still freezing on dev-13.2 using dev-13 plugins. When I load the patch it immediately locks up. Can anyone else test this? I wonder if it is a Sickozell or JW issue? @sickozell and @jeremywen , can you test as well?

TT MM Freeze 040225.vcv (2.8 KB)

TT MM freeze 040225.yml (12.1 KB)

@dangreen @jeremywen I removed the JW sequencer from the patch and no more lock up. So, there is a compatibility problem with the code I am guessing.

TT MM Freeze Test 2 040225.vcv (2.7 KB)
TT MM Freeze Test 2 040225.yml (9.5 KB)

divseq seems to work on its own and not freeze

@danngreen @jeremywen 100% confirmed. JW DivSeq is completely locking up MM dev-13.2.

TT MM Freeze Test 3 040225.vcv (2.3 KB)
TT MM Freeze Test 3 040225.yml (8.2 KB)

oh I am on firmware 12.14

I think was locking up on 12.14 as well using the 12-dev firmware version.

For me its not freezing but I did notice when trying to connect ports in the MM, the jacks seem to be different than the ui is showing. So Clock in highlighting a port on the bottom rather than the clock labelled port at the top.

It could be related if I am referencing an input out of the array range

Yeah, hopefully @danngreen can figure out what is happening…

@danngreen Still getting sporadic lockups on dev-13.2 using dev-13 plugins. This time I am using a different config. Now I am getting them when I send and updated file via wifi that overwrites the playing file and try to exit the patch using the white button. The sound keeps playing but the screen is frozen. Test file is below…

TT MM Test 1 040325.yml (33.3 KB)

@danngreen A different test file and same result. Overwriting an existing file via wi-fi seems to cause screen lockups consistently.

TT MM Test 2 040325.yml (9.3 KB)

Can anyone else verify this problem?

I confirm a crash when adding a DivSeq to a patch. Looking into it…

Re: wifi: I’m debugging that also. Taking a break from working on that to look at DivSeq

OK, it seems like the JWModules dev-13 plugin has an issue, for all modules in that plugin.
