Many thanks for the tips, downgrading to firmware 1.4.1 solved the issue and it’s working now! 
I had the newest 1.5 firmware which doesn’t work with MM for some reason.
I’m really happy I was able to help, sadly it doesn’t surprise me that they broke things again in their latest firmware (get used to it if you start to write any advanced scripting for it 
). I’d suggest reporting it on their forum as well https://forum.intech.studio
Thanks for those suggestions, unfortunately I still cannot connect my EF44 to the MM. I had tried doing a factory reset and flashing earlier firmware even before your note. My EF44 works with everything else I connect it to, so why it does not work with the MM is a mystery. I’ll see if anyone in Intech’s forum or Discord channel has any thoughts. Recently got a BU16 Gen 3 and I can confirm it doesn’t work if plugged directly to the 4ms meta module.
It only works by using a CME H2MIDI host in between the intech and the metamodule (which is also powering the CME via usb c).
