Ported Seaside Modular

Ported for dev v2.0.0-12.2

I got everything working - the only oddity is that with Tala, I see that the MetaModule spikes into CPU overage when playing the samples but I actually hear no artifacting, so I think it’s fine?

Note that Tala also takes a moment to load I assume because of all the samples.

Thanks so much for this

It says “Error loading plugin”. I have renamed it to SeasideModular-v2.0.0-dev-12.0.mmplugin.

Hmm, are you on the latest dev firmware? 12.2

Unfortunately, this is necessary. Dann has already confirmed in the SickoCV plugin that the suffix is read out by the MM. So I do the same and the plugin can be autoloaded afterwards.

Yeah, I was doing this before, but I swear I thought I read in the latest firmware that Dann removed this requirement. I can add it back

Okay, I renamed it and the plugin is loaded when MM is started. However, the version number is not displayed in the plugin menu. But the suffix is no longer necessary.

Yup. Id try to post a screenshot later. It also hints of a corrupted file.

Hmm… that is super odd. I just re-exported it and reuploaded if you want to try…

I also would double check your firmware version, I recall some user didn’t actually upgrade their firmware because they had old firmware in the metamodule-firmware version.

I just loaded SeasideModular into my MM again and it does seem to work.

I got it to work by manually renaming it to:
SeasideModular-v2.0.0-dev-12.0.mmplugin
Then it loaded fine. Nice module - thanks for porting.
Seems happier loading from VCV rack rather than selecting directly from within the Meta. Will need to recheck this.

I created a derivation from my actual patch, using the proteus modul instead of Orange Line Dejavu. Now I get a freeze after 10 sec playtime. The same patch with Dejavu has no issues.

Very odd, I’ll take a look.

edit:

@Okami - this is weird, can you share your patch file? I can’t reproduce this with a single proteus. But I am realizing proteusX won’t work, because it’s an expander module.

Yes, shure…

proteus.vcv (3.8 KB)

Happy to report that I got things working. I wiped all firmware and plugins and re-did them all.

Interestingly, when I open this on my VCV Rack 2 Pro on Windows, it says I don’t have proteus installed, when I do. Are you on some other version of SeasideModular by chance

I don’t think so. I used the vcv link from above and subscribed there, so I don’t know where the difference is supposed to come from.

So odd. I’ll take a look. If you add the module directly within MM, does it work?

That needs to be tested. But the modul is not longer part of the patch, maybe in an additional version.

Thank you so much for porting these modules

Takes forever to load the Seaside plugins. I turned off autoload on my MM.
