Wondering if there has been any discussion with Alright Devices or if they are on the roadmap for conversion to MM?
would be cool to have chronoblob on mm but since alright devices exist as hardware modules already, not sure if the developer would allow them to be ported to be used on mm since that might undercut sales of the physical modules. but who knows! feel free to reach out to the developer to see if this is possible:

I’m hoping they would be into it like some other manufacturers are (Nano, Befaco, Rebel Tech, NLC). I’ll ask!
Tyler let me know that it’s unlikely they’ll have time to work on making them available in MM. I’m new to this but I think I’ve seen that @danngreen is porting some devices over? Not sure how this works or if I’m totally mistaken.

The devices that Dan is porting are ones where the code is open-source and the license allows for that kind of reuse. That’s not the case with Alright Devices, which are closed-source. So it’s not something that could be done without some assistance from Tyler.

Right, we can’t port something without access to the source code. If someone has a closed-source project, then in order to port it to the MetaModule they would need to make the code available to whoever does the porting (which could be us). There is also the issue of keeping a plugin maintained over the years, so there would need to be an agreement about updates, etc.
