See patch - attached
firmware 1.2.1
Works in VCV pro 2.5.2 Windows 10 Plateau_problem.vcv (2.2 KB)
Stops audio on MM when turning “size” knob red upper left below around 3 o’clock. I have to open another preset on mm, then open this preset again. Plateau_problem.yml (4.1 KB)
Something got lost, same behavior for Plateau is back…@danngreen (making sure you see this)
FW v. 1.4.2. Tried same patch above and audio stops when size is around 9 o’clock.
I’m seeing something similar when loading a couple of large patches, where there’s either no audio from one channel or no audio at all until I load a smaller patch, and then revert to the previous patch, which outputs audio as expected. From what I can see in the display, the patches seem to be playing when there’s missing audio. One patch uses Plateau (and size is around 9 o’clock), the other Galactic. @danngreen
Ok, I’m seeing this too. Actually (for me) it works all the way until the Size knob hits 0, whereas with the last bug it would stop working anywhere under 9 o’clock.
Ok, I went back to v1.4.0-beta-1 (where the fix was first posted) and it actually still breaks when you turn Size down under 9%. So apparently we didn’t fix it the first time.
Ok, I fixed the Plateau issue! It was a math error introduced a long time ago when optimizing the Plateau for this platform. Will push it with the next version
I made some progress on this: DDLY and my port of Fundamental Quantizer each had bugs The patch now works as a startup patch in firmware v1.4.4, with these plugins (v1.4.0):
I’m still having issues with Plateau crashing when playing with the Size parameter on MM 1.5. Usually when I lower the size which increases the volume as it feeds back. My patch is a single instance of Plateau and nothing else.
Yes, sorry. We fixed it and then overwrote our fix (basically un-fixed it).
It’s been fixed for real this time in v1.5.2 (which was just released today)
