Patching Manually on MM Questions

First of all, I see there is a Panel module in the 4ms directory on the MM. It says: Cannot load faceplate image. What is this module for and why doesn’t it have a faceplate? Does it have anything to do with the MM panel?

In my rig, the MM is at the center of my system and I keep everything patched up (mostly outputs).

In this instance, I wanted to manually patch my Korg SQ1 to my external uPlaits and DistingEX (set up as sound modules with an external mixer.)

The best solution I came up with was to load two mults: one for trigger and one for CV. I was able to get this work perfectly.

Since this the MM Hub module that is in VCV rack is not available in the MM, is this the best way to manually patch the MM for this application?

Do I understand you correctly?
You just want to duplicate your trigger and cv signal for the Plaits and DistingEx?

using the mults or a unity mixer (fundamental cvmix is V cpu friendly!) is the best way ive found

maybe it was accidentally left in when the plugin was built? sometime in the past the STS was in there, but didn’t work of course. dan mentioned he had accidentally left it in:

Thanks for the info…that is good to know! I just wanted to find the best practice for manually patching the MM panel.

Right…patch external trigger and CV from Korg SQ1 to Plaits and DistingEX that are connected to MM. Essentially, patching inputs to outputs using the MM as a patchbay of sorts.

Oops! Yes that was an accident. Thanks for the report

Anytime! I thought it may have something to do with the MM panel.

You should be able to patch an input to an output on the Hub module in VCV. This will pass the signal through the MM hardware (with a one block latency of course).

I was trying to see if I could do it manually in the instance I want to use it away from a computer. Will there ever be some kind of hub module on MM?
