After update to FW 1.3.1 and latest module versions (mainly 1.3.x, except for those who are still on lower version numbers), any patch that contains Morpheus from OL freezes MM when patching a clock-signal in (regardless whether it’s from another vcv module like muxlicer or from Pam’s via the physical patch bay). It doesn’t recover on its own. A restart of the rack is needed. It happens with either way of assembly, so there is no difference between doing it inside vcv or directly in the MM editor. Any ideas for a solution to this particular issue?
Thanks for the report and sorry for taking so long to get back.
I tried patches using the Morpheus, with OrangeLine plugin v1.3.0 and firmware v1.3.1, but wasn’t able to get it to crash when using the CLK jack. Maybe I’m not understanding what you mean by “patching a clock-signal in”? I’m just patching a clock from a square wave LFO into “In 18” (as it’s called on the MetaModule), which is the jack labelled “CLK” (bottom row of jacks, second from the right). Are you using a different jack, or can you explain the patch more? It might be easier to send the patch file.
Also, we have a new firmware coming out, so you could just try that:
Well, I haven’t tried to use a clock signal from another vcv module, but a signal from Pam’s New Workout, patched into Gate 1 input and connected that to Morpheus CLK input and created that simple scenario directly inside Metamodule. When I hit the run button on Pam’s, it froze immediately with the 1.3.1 firmware. As it froze, I couldn’t save it of course. I’ll give the 1.4.1 firmware a shot and let you know how it went. So the Orangeline modules in version 1.3 run well on the new firmware or do I have to wait for them to be updated to 1.4 as well?
Ok, yeah that’s what I tried as well, except no freezing.
Hmm… ok I’ll try some more and see if I can make it freeze.
OK, I have a fix for this:
Thanks a ton. It already appeared to be working with the 1.4.x firmware, so all good, I guess. I will also update the plugin accordingly.
