New release! Submit v1.6 is out for MetaModule - now with Gain and Sweep

The Submit collection for 4ms MetaModule is now available — no longer in beta!
All 7 modules have been ported and tested on hardware: Drift, Chrono, Impact, Chain, Squeeze, Shape and Master.

Modules:
Drift: Analog voice with DCO, wavefolder, slope generator and contour envelope
Chrono: Tape machine with wow, flutter, drive and multi-head delay
Impact: Drum synthesizer with noise, harmonics and punch shaping
Chain: 2-channel stereo mixer with pre gain, 2 FX sends, HPF and sidechain CV
Squeeze: Sidechain envelope follower. Feeds Chain’s compressor CV input
Shape: 6-band SSL-style EQ. Sits in the Submit signal chain
Master: Warm master bus processor. Final stage of the Submit chain

The Submit Chain
Chain, Squeeze, Shape and Master are designed to work together as a complete mixing and mastering signal chain. Connect them via the CHAIN jacks for a seamless workflow - from individual channel mixing to final master output.
Chain handles your stereo channels with pre gain, HPF and FX sends
Squeeze generates sidechain CV that feeds directly into Chain’s compressor input
Shape adds SSL-style EQ character to your mix
Master adds warmth, transient control and limiting as the final stage

Changes in v1.5
Drift: SUSTAIN now works as a true gate-hold- note sustains as long as gate is high
Drift: improved timbre character
All modules: updated descriptions

Installation
Download Submit-v2.1.mmplugin and place it in the plugins folder on your MetaModule SD card.

Really looking forward to having some time at the weekend to try these out.

Have you considered posting this somewhere on the VCVRack forum too ? e.g. Development - VCV Community . You will maybe get more views and testers on there than here …

Thanks! Really appreciate it.
Yes, I’m planning to post it there as well. I like to share things here first since I’m also aiming to bring these to MetaModule soon, and it’s always nice to get some early feedback before posting on the bigger forums. This is my home

Thanks for the tip :slightly_smiling_face:

these are all looking/sounding great so far!! really enjoying chrono

Dont know why but I can’t see it in my library. I reinstal VCVpro, I put it in the dir that is said in the Help menu “Open file location”. I googled it for solution that I tried without result.

A few things to check:

  1. VCV Rack version — make sure you’re running 2.6.x (Help → About). The plugin was built with SDK 2.6.6.
  2. Download the right file for your platform:
  • Windows: Submit-2.8.0-win-x64.vcvplugin
  • Mac ARM (M1/M2/M3/M4): Submit-2.8.0-mac-arm64.vcvplugin
  • Linux: Submit-2.8.0-lin-x64.vcvplugin
  1. Don’t unzip the file — place the .vcvplugin file directly in your plugins folder. VCV Rack will extract it automatically on startup. You can find your plugins folder via Help → Open user folder.
  2. Restart VCV Rack completely after placing the file.

If it still doesn’t work, open log.txt from your user folder and search for “Submit” — it will tell you exactly why it’s not loading. Please share that line and I’ll help you fix it!

Quick question for the Windows users here: is anyone else having trouble loading the plugin? Several people on the VCV Rack community already have it running on Windows without issues, so I’m trying to figure out if this is a specific system issue. Any info helps — thanks!

works fine in windows here! great work, i love these

New release! Submit v1.6 is out for MetaModule - now with Gain and Sweep.

Gain is a line level booster designed to bring iPhone, laptop and external gear up to modular level, with soft clip and FX send. Connects directly into the Submit chain.

Sweep is a DJ-style filter that sweeps from low pass to high pass via a fully open center position, with resonance and a momentary reset button that fades back to center.

All 9 modules have been tested on hardware.
