The device suddenly crashed. The red light flashed a few times, and after that it would no longer turn on. I purchased this module in December 2025. Could you please assist me with this issue? I have a performance coming up in a few days, so I would greatly appreciate any expedited support. Thank you very much.
Hi,
Sorry to hear that. Can you explain what you mean by the “red light”? Is it the button?
One thing to note is that if when you power on, the button turns white after a moment (and perhaps it even makes sound if you click around enough), then it’s possible the screen cable came loose and the unit is working, just with a blank screen. That’s fairly easy to fix.
If you don’t get a white button light, then try following these steps: there are two levels of back-door bootloaders you can use to restore firmware:
Previously, I was using the same power supply, or powering it through a 60W power bank with a PD trigger cable. However, before the issue occurred, the module automatically turned on and off several times, possibly due to an unstable power connection.
After I used the module for about three minutes, it suddenly flashed a red light and shut down. Since then, it has not powered on again.
I have already tried both suggested methods. However, it seems that the module is not powering on at all. After connecting the power, the MetaModule shows no response or activity.
Thank you for your reply and for your support. I hope the issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
It sounds like a power supply malfunction. Are you sure your case’s power supply is working? It may or may not have damaged the MetaModule, from what I understand you’re saying it’s possible the power supply itself is damaged (because the red light is on the power supply PD cable I assume?)
Please email us for support, including your serial number.
Okay, I will send an email. I already checked the power supply and it’s working properly. I think the issue might be with the MetaModule.
