MSM Bitcrusher Patch

This patch uses our XOX drum modules, a mono synth, and a bit crusher to create a rugged little groovebox.

External Audio Path:

  • Main audio outputs are on channels 1 and 2.

Internal Audio Path:

  • A mono synth is constructed from an Even VCO, a Liquid Filter, and a Dual Shaped Envelope VCA.
  • The drum sources are Kick, Snare, and Maraca.
  • The Maraca is routed through an Accent Module.
  • The entire mix is fed into an MSM Bit Crusher and then into a Master Volume Attenuator.

Internal CV Path:

  • A main clock from a Multi LFO is fed into a QCD, driving clock and reset signals for both Sequencers.
  • The Drum Sequencer triggers all drums, as well as a Bassline pattern and a quarter-note accent pattern for the Maraca.
  • The raw voltages from the 16-Step Sequencer are offset, attenuated, and quantized before being sent to the Even VCO. This provides the user with Sequencer range and note offset control for the Bassline.

MetaModule Knob Mappings:
A - Bass filter cutoff
B - Bass envelope filter depth
C - Bass filter resonance
D - Bass amplitude decay envelope
E - Bass filter decay envelope time
F - Bass volume
U - Kick volume
V - Snare volume
W - Hi-hat volume
X - Sample rate
Y - Bit depth
