Module request: x0x Pitch Router

I want to use the x0x drums with my Oxi One. Like many other drum sequencers, the Oxi’s multitrack sequencer sends different pitches from different tracks by default, so it would be great to have a way to get triggers from different pitches in the Meta and rout them to the x0x modules.

I can’t see an easy way to do this. One option would be to set up a bunch of comparators, but that’d be fiddly and fragile, and it would require a lot of modules. and there’s no window comparator in Meta (I think?) so you’d need some complicated routing.

So it’d be great if the x0x plugin included a module for this purpose – it takes a v/oct CV signal and fires triggers from different outputs for different chromatic pitches.

(In the meantime I can set up the Oxi to use a different MIDI channel for each sequencer lane and distribute the triggers by channel in the Meta, but that also requires a lot of modules and feels clumsy.)

you mean, something like this?

hoping we can see all the core midi modules available on mm at some point

This is much easier and has been working for a while: you go to a gate of an X0X module in the MM, and then you can create a MIDI note to gate.

Oh yeah that will work! Good thought.

I sold my OXI One last week. I really thought it was an amazing sequencer, but for me there was one major downside: I couldn’t save enough projects — only 16 projects and 128 patterns. Personally, I would’ve preferred it the other way around: something like 128 projects and 32 patterns.

This really became a limitation for me, especially now that I’m producing more and working on multiple projects.

I’ve now switched to using the OP–XY as my sequencer, which also has a velocity-sensitive keyboard. And of course, it’s also a great sampler — perfect for use on the go.

Maybe you know this but the upcoming Oxi One Mk II has an SD card slot to allow you to save unlimited projects.

Maybe I’m wrong. My memory from watching one too many videos on it tells me there a finite no. like twenty instead of as much as the card can hold.

Yes, I know there’s a MKII now and Manual (the creator) is a passionate person who responds quickly on the OXI forum, but unfortunately they weren’t able to expand the number of projects. They did add more templates later on, but what I really needed was more project slots…

I had the OXI One for several years, and I’m absolutely sure about the project limit — it’s a maximum of 16.

From the website: “ Store infinite projects, grooves, and scales on the new SD card slot.”

For the MKII yes… not for the MK1

Maybe this is something new — that with an external SD card reader, it might actually work on the MK1: USB SD card reader suggestion - OXI Instruments Forum

check out the specs. for instant load it isn’t infinite.

I had the MKI  so for me only 16 projects…

You got to decide if you want to upgrade. The MK2 is in my radar as well as the Neuzeit Instruments Drop but I think we are digressing from topic already.
