Module bricked after firmware update

I followed the instructions, display said update was completed successfully and to power off and back on. Now I just get a white screen.

Brand new module, wish I’d gotten to play with it for a while first.

Oh no! Please email us and we’ll guide you through a rescue procedure. There are two back-doors, so it’s probably not permanently bricked. If you hold down the rotary encoder while booting up, then the button should flash green on and off repeatedly. This is the USB rescue mode (USB-DFU). Email us and we’ll guide you through it.

Thanks Dan. If I boot up holding down the encoder, the button blinks green, and the display stays white.

I emailed too, have been trying things with Thomas. He just sent me instructions about the bootloader, I’ll try that in a bit.

I searched my whole house and finally found a cable that fit, but I can’t connect in the app. I know with other formats, some cables can only charge, not pass data. Could that be the situation here?
