MM doesn't find Wi-Fi expander after upgrading to 2.0.8; case restart fixes

I just updated the MetaModule to fw 2.0.8. Before the upgrade, the wi-fi module was connected and working fine. After the upgrade, the MM settings page displayed “No Wi-Fi Expander found.” The light on the wi-fi expander was turned off.

I powered my case off and then back on, and this time the wi-fi expander started up normally and the MM found it with no problems. So, not a big issue but it seems like something’s wrong with the auto-reboot process after the firmware upgrade.

Same issue here, although WiFi module isn’t found after power cycling either.

I’ve been experiencing this same behavior with both 2.0.11 and the prior two updates: white screen (crash? reboot?) at what seems to be the end of the update process, followed by the MM itself booting normally but the Wifi module remaining dark, with the MM reporting “Wifi module not found.”

Cycling power does restore the Wifi module to green functioning status, although I have no idea if the Wifi module is receiving updates (if any).

Is there any info from @danngreen or others as to whether this is anything to be concerned about?

Many thanks!
