Midi note not the same with korg sq-64 sequencer by usb connection

In MIDI mapping if i have a note like F4 on korg sq-64 sequencer in metamodule it detect F3 or if A4 it see A3… Alway minus 1.

this is not uncommon ( nor a ‘bug’)
there are two “standards” for midi octave numbering,
one (ISO) which labels middle C as C4 (midi note 60) , the other as C3.
(iirc, there are some others from older gear, but C3/C4 are the main ones)

you can see the same thing when using daws etc… some will allow you to ‘rename’, but the issue is, if you use multiple hardware devices, they’ll often can be different - so theres no ‘correct’ way really.

iirc, original this ‘difference’ started between the likes of yamaha and roland, and then other companies chose which '‘standard’ to follow - original midi had lots of these grey areas, which were later tidied up/standardise - but the legacies remain, often so a company could be compatible across its product lines.
