thanks! yeah it’s definitely the only way i could think of to do longer seamless live sets . although sometimes i’ve used 1 mm the whole time as a dual looper (with 2x 4ms dld), and the other as the sound sources, that was a lot of fun to play with in a drone/ambient type of show.
now that the tsp sample player is coming into it’s own, im confident 1 single mm could easily be used to do really long live performances, of course that would be a mainly sample based performance but still, pretty neat! and tsps seems pretty lightweight cpu wise so you could still have some other effects/sends in the patch to play with. mainly what im using in this performance are the bidoo canard samplers because you can sample/hold the start input to create random offsets with each trigger. i don’t believe any other sampler on the mm offers that ability yet. sicko sampler you can assign a knob to the start offset, but no cv input for that(sadly!).

thank you! i think the normals module was mainly meant for replacing an internal signal flow w external one (like internal clock versus clock from another module in your rack) but it just so happens to be able to create triggers as well with the 4ms gate module:
just needs a physical patch cable to go from out 3 on the mm to input 1 to cause the trigger
