MetaButtons expander

Hi!
Can I use the buttons to change knob sets?
Cheers

For me it’s a game changer. If it’s possible, I’ll buy it. I can imagine a “next set” button and a “previous set” button.

Yes this is in the works!

I modded some of my smaller cases.
I added:

to the case, desoldered the din connectors and added 4 TRS-jacks.
Cheap but effective.

Thanks for the information. Ordered today from Thomann EU (€117 with free shipping).

I have a question for metabuttons and vcv
In the manual it says the following
“Like knob maps, button maps belong to a Knob Set. Changing the Knob Set will change the button mappings, just as it changes the knob mappings.”
I am trying to apply the above in VCV but when I change the knob set in metamodule module the metabutton mappings are remaining the same.
So the button maps can only be assigned in the metamodule itself or maybe it is a VCV bug??I am using VCV 2.6.4 and have 4ms plugins updated. I have not tried metabuttons yet. I am about to install it.

@danngreen So I tried metabuttoons and on the metamodule you can set different button maps. However in VCV I am not able to do this. Is it on the works?

I’d like to get a bit more clarity on the current development status regarding the use of Metabuttons to change knob sets on the MetaModule. It’s possible that I’m not fully using the module as intended yet, so I’m mainly looking to better understand what is already implemented and what is planned.
As I understand it, Metabuttons currently relies on two main behaviors:
– momentary (0 / 1 while the button is held)
– toggle (switching between 0 and 1 on each press)
These modes are very useful, but they seem to limit Metabuttons to binary behaviors.
In particular, I was wondering where the development stands regarding the ability to change knob sets using Metabuttons. From a user perspective, two approaches would feel very natural:
– using two buttons for Previous Set / Next Set
– or using a single button to select a specific set
More generally, I’m also curious whether there are plans to go beyond strictly binary states (for example, for multi-position switches or cycling behaviors), but my main question really concerns knob set management.
I bought Metabuttons with a lot of interest, but in my current setup it mostly ends up being used as a simple trigger button (for example with 4MAN), and I’d like to better understand how it’s expected to evolve.
Thanks in advance for any clarification or update on these points, and thanks for the continued work on the MetaModule.
