Do you know if it’s possible to make one of the outputs of Metamodule be a headphone output?
yep you definitely can! but the signals coming out of mm are hot so i recommend using an 1/8mm attenuator adapter. something maybe like:
The outputs are stereo outputs?
No, you would need to use two outputs for stereo and then use an adapter others have shown to combine them into a TRS connection and likely an attenuator to reduce the signal level.
Please use a dedicated headphone output module, even a passive one, ie a stereo attenuator with a nice big slider…so you can visually SEE where your volume is…Modular is so loud and occasionally, without that visual feedback, I’ve blasted myself in the past.
No risk-taking with my hearing these days! Hearing loss and tinnitus are real things.
I use the Divkid (Befaco) Outpus Bus. OUTPUT BUS - Befaco
A great module to get line level up to Eurorack, Eurorack up to Line, add distortion to Eurorack level using the last set of inputs and has a very clean headphone output. Since the Meta Module autoruns, you can turn the knob all the way down which mutes the sound.
i use (and love) the happy nerding 4x st mix module, low cost small 4hp and allows you to mix multiple stereo outs from the mm (or sometimes my laptop, or ipad, or sp404) together w independent vol knobs which works good for stepping any input down to line/headphones level. for me this module will be most useful once we have samplers on the mm.
Happy Nerding makes good stuff I have one of their original VCOs. I like the Befaco because it has line out capabilities and line in as well for pedals. Plus Befaco was one of the first people who supported 4ms and the Meta Module porting thier plugins from VCV. I just bought two of their modules to help support them for their support of the community.
I use a MakeNoise XOH in my small (64X) rack. Great module and doubles as a 2 channel stereo mixer. XOH – Make Noise Music
