When I’m writing a patch description in VCV Rack I often want to break up the lines in the description. But the Return key doesn’t insert a line-break character so I have to hit the space bar until the cursor moves down to the next line.
+1 to having line breaks in the description section!
yes please!! +3 ![]()
the cursor does not respond to the enter- and navigation keys, making it tedious to write clearly organized notes.
i can’t even navigate up and down with the arrow keys as i am not able to fit all the knobs descriptions in one screen. also it’s impossible to reach and edit the text at the bottom.
*edit: removed ‘a little’ (tedious)
+10 for that.
In general, the note editor in the vcv hub and on the hardware could be improved quite a lot. This is really an essential tool to keep a patch alive along time.
I’ve got a fix for this that works great on macOS. Is there anyone running VCV Rack on Windows who could test it out for me?
I tested it on windows, and it seems to work fine.
This is merged in, and should be part of the v2.1.5 VCV plugin release. Thanks!
it does not work still, on a mac. i am on the latest version of vcvrack 2 pro
The fixed version isn’t in the VCV library yet. You can get it from the 4ms GitHub.
