Issues with the 4MS Tapographic Delay (fixed)

System MM: 1.4.6 and 2.0 Beta

I find this module incredibly beautiful, but unfortunately, I can’t get it to function properly on the MM. The main issue is with the delay time. On VCV, I can set up amazing delays, but on the MM, the delay times remain extremely short (it sounds more like a spring reverb).

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Tested without a clock, both with and without using the tap button.
• Tested with an external analog clock at various speeds (also enabled the sync button).
• Set the external analog clock to “Ext Clock” (also enabled the sync button).
• Tested MIDI as a clock source at various speeds (also enabled the sync button).

I’ve thoroughly read through the 4MS manual as well. One thing I still find tricky is activating the preset buttons (1-6). Often, I need to move the button (mapped to an MM knob) back and forth three times to select a preset.

I’d love to use this delay properly for a project.

-Am I the only one having trouble getting this delay to work correctly?
-Am I missing something obvious?

I’ve already spent a lot of time on this and would really appreciate a solution.

Thanks in advance!

I had similar issues (as described in another 4MS TD thread). I programmed a nicely working delay in VCV rack - but when I transferred the patch to Meta I would get these problems. Back then I had owned the hardware Tapographic Delay for years, and it was obvious that the Meta version where buggy.

I often have trouble getting useful results from it, but am not seeing an issue with super short delays. I am sending it analog clock and set it to synced, and am using an Intellijel 1U FSR connected to tap and velocity.

Ok, i am happy, updated to firmware-v2.0.0-dev-6 and the delay is working nice… thanks
