A plugin that can split signals from C to E, F to G, and G# to B, or isolate specific keys, such as the Impromptu Part plugin, is highly needed right now, especially since multi-channel MIDI is not supported.
The plugins from this company, including a MIDI looper or any chord-related functions, also seem extremely useful.
If you would like a plugin from a third party developer made available for use in the MetaModule, you would need to first correspond with the developer of the plugin to see if they have any interest in porting it. If they are interested, they can correspond with 4ms for assistance in building the plugin for use in the MetaModule and publishing the download link on the website. Posting here that a third party plug-in is “needed” has no effect unless the developer is interested in making the plug-in available for use in the MetaModule.
If I directly contact the developer to request permission and it is granted, will the porting work be done by Impromptu, by 4ms, or would it be a collaborative effort between both parties?
I believe that the standard process is that the developer performs the porting work, using the SDK located here: GitHub - 4ms/metamodule-plugin-sdk: SDK for building MetaModule Plugins. 4ms is available to answer any questions the developer may have and to facilitate adding converted plug-ins to the repository. @danngreen is the best person here to address any specific questions about the process from the viewpoint of 4ms.
Per recent posts from Dan, there are a number of developers who are waiting for the V2 firmware on the MM to port their modules, as that firmware will support features not in the V1 series. Also, I note that the primary use of the module you want ported is to split polyphonic signals, and MM currently only supports monophonic connections between plug-ins.
