How do you keep your plugins updated in VCV?

I am facing problems keeping the meta plugins up to date in VCV.

Every time new meta plugins are released I go to 4ms plugins page and click on every single plugin so I can add them to my VCV library. That’s pretty annoying.

Could someone program a script to automate this, please? Or is there another workaround?

You need to go to Downloads/Plugins where you’ll find a zipped file that contains all the plugins for the latest firmware. Once you’ve transferred the unzipped files, you’ll then need to delete older versions of plugins.

Thanks for your reply. Updating the Meta module works fine for me. I rather meant how do you keep your VCV library up to date?

Sorry for the misunderstanding! Yes, I completely agree about updating VCV - it’s a complete pain.

Just go to this page and click “Download All”. It will provide the latest versions that have been added to the library. Newer versions that have been released and not added it the library yet will have to be downloaded from the devs’ GitHub. MetaModule | plugins

But how do I get them added to the VCV library - afak manually

I keep mine on a micro SD. You can also use a thumb drive. I download them, copy them onto the card, and then insert the card into the MM.

Thanks for your reply.

I was talking about keeping the VCV library up to date is kind of a pain.

First you have to check which Meta plugins are new. Then you have to click on every plugin to open the according plugin page in VCV. Then you have to add each plugin manually.

Go to VCV Library - Plugins, find the plugins you use, and click “Subscribe” for each. Then VCV Rack will download the new versions automatically whenever the plugin is updated.

Thanks for your input. I know how to add a plugin in VCV.

To simplify my request/complaint:

The 4ms plugin page should be more convenient to use. I find it difficult to keep track of new released plugins to add them in VCV.

Or another idea implement a tag for meta modules in VCV. That would be the best.

I just found the Module Finder - okay that’s neat! Sorry for the confusion
