It is what it is, but I wish it had 2 more inputs and 2 less outs.

I like it. I had a couple of issues early on with the expander sometimes not registering on startup but that could have been a loose ribbon cable on my part (or it’s been addressed with firmware updates?) - it’s been reliable for several months.
As far as using the extra ports - currently my Meta Module + MetaAIO is rigged up as a stereo quad matrix mixer - basically 2x the 4ms VCA Matrix modules patched into 8 ins and 8 outs with each pair of the modules attenuators and mute buttons mapped through midi to custom fader bank layouts (for the attenuators) and a button grid (for the mutes) on a Launchpad Pro. That eats up a lot of the audio inputs though and only leaves 4 inputs (that aren’t gate inputs) for other uses.
I don’t really see this as a permanent use case though - it was more an experiment to learn about using a matrix mixer before making a purchase (I’m about to put together an AI Synthesis Quad Stereo Matrix Mixer I just picked up from Abe). As a new comer to modular starting out that’s actually one of my main use cases for the Meta - using it to experiment with modules and techniques before making other purchases (as well as being a Swiss army knife for any tools and utilities I don’t yet have).
Someone else posted about using a Befaco VCMC as a good way to add more manual controls (8 faders and 8 buttons) and more CV inputs to the Meta via midi - so that’s another kit build that I’ve picked up. I think midi control is a good way of setting up more dedicated human interfacing controls for the meta and I like the idea of the VCMC putting those controls in my (somewhat portable for now) rig without needing a separate midi keyboard or controller.

It was my Birthday yesterday and i got the Wifi and the AIO expanders!! All though I have not really had it that long, I am already amazed how much it has sparked my creativity!! It opens up the MM so much!! 100% worth getting one IMO!!
