Hi,
Just wondering is anyone has yet been able to control a jack using the usb C midi input?
I’ve tried sending modulation from an Elektron Digitone via a usbC cable but it seems the mapping doesn’t work. Have I missed something > - the same cable will drive Ableton so I think the midi signal is there in the usbC cable. Do I need a special usb C cable?
i have tried a bcr2000 as well as several custom class compliant fader controllers into the usb c on the mm and i am able to midi map inside the mm no problem.
Works fine here, even using a very cheap usb midi interface.
I have an old Livid DIY controller that I started over 10 yrs ago that I finally recently finished, works fine.
Wanted to chime in to say I guess class-compliant stuff will work and my Roland K-25M boutique keyboard could be powered up but sends no MIDI to MM via USB-C. I suspect it is because it uses proprietary drivers.
No need for a special cable, but yes you need to use from USB-C to USB-A. The original adapter with comes with the MM works perfect…
Thanks for the advice and reminder about the supplied adapter - I finally managed to get the midi control working - another great feature of the 4msMM.
