Firmware v2.1.15

Announcing Firmware v2.1.15, which has some new features and bug fixes:

New Features:

  • Change Knob Sets using a MetaButtons expander:
When enabled in Prefs, pressing buttons 1-8 jumps to Knob Set 1-8. If the patch has fewer than 8 Knob Sets, then the unused buttons can still be used for mappings. Optionally you can use all 8 buttons normally for mappings, but have the MetaButtons module function as a Knob Set selector only when you hold down the Back button. If you have multiple MetaButton modules connected, you can assign one of them in particular as the Knob Set selector.

  • Reduce notifications: New preference lets you show less notifications. The options are “All”, “Fewer”, or “Only Critical”. You also can disable the drop-down/up animation.

  • Better firmware update information: The Firmware Update tab displays the version and type of update.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Summing MIDI signal with virtual cable on a virtual input, and summing two Panel Ins on a virtual input
  • Fix initial selection on Add Module list, not being on a brand name
  • Don’t warn about Stoermelder Glue module missing
  • Fix race condition when multiple threads are opening and closing files at the same time.
  • Fix potential unreported crash when exiting ModuleView page or full-screen graphics page that’s drawing a graphics buffer.
  • Fix potential unreported crash when accessing TTF fonts

Fantastic update for the buttons expander! Is the knob expander still going to release soon as well?

unfortunately @danngreen , received a crash today when loading up one yml after another. in this case some of the wavplayers might have still been playing their wavs in the previous yml, when i hit play on the current frozen one:

Ok, thanks for letting me know, I’ll see if I can make it happen.

ty @danngreen ! i can use 2.1 w these patches for now no problem (seems v stable still). but im working on other live sets that lean heavy on the latest firmware. i’m curious is there a way (ie a file on the sdc or) to save the pref settings to make setup easy when switching back forth between 2.1 and the latest firms?

Yes, go to Settings > System > Backup/Load settings to file

amazing, ty!!

I’ve been starting to play around with, but a befaco vcmc over usb is a nice way to add 8 buttons and 8 sliders and basically CV control of all of those. I am looking forward to the knobs expansion too…..but this so far looks promising. The only downside is using the USB so far.

Thank you for this! - Easier to know if I have the right card inserted before the update.
