Firmware v2.0.8: Support more MIDI controllers, knob units/ranges for 4ms modules

Firmware v2.0.8 is out… download here:

What’s Changed since v2.0.5

  • Fix MIDI for Native Instruments Kontrol S49 and (probably) other controllers
  • Add units and ranges to most knobs on 4ms modules
  • Use “snappable” knobs on 4ms modules such as QCD and PEG Div/Mult knob, DLD Time knob, etc.
  • Fix 4ms Drum module (CV jacks and envelope ranges were not working)

Example of Snapped Knobs with the QCD:

The new knob units and names are a part of the 4ms VCV plugin v2.0.15

Note v2.0.6 and v2.0.7 were immediately obsolete, so we skipped announcing them.

Awesome - thank you :ok_hand:

Does this update have some effect on the Roto-Control support that seems so tasty?

No Roto-Control yet… I’m reviewing @etcetc’s bi-directional MIDI PR now, which is a precursor to Roto control

Thanks, I’m just very excited about it! Amazing pace, the MM updates, rare to see GAS manufacturer updates this frequently, and never in such an organized manner  Thanks for that!!

am I wrong to think that the meta won’t support the addac 221 and 222? curious because they are auto supported in ableton, can even see their name. so is the meta able to just see devices that are what’s it called ? “universal” or something usb midi devices?

the metamodule supports usb midi class compliant device

this is pretty much the norm these days.
this should be detailed somewhere in their documentation.
a rule of thumb is, if you don’t need a driver from the manufacture then its going to be class compliant.
to be ‘safe’ you could contact the manufacturer to ask.

note: you could not use the 221 and 221 at the same time with the MM, since it only supports one device at a time.
to connect more than one midi device at a time , you need a suitable ‘midi router’.
you can find discussions on this on this forum on this.
