Expander not working

AIO expander appears to not work. Been busy patching and finally got around to trying the expander and nothing. System says its installed. Tested it briefly and moved it to the side of meta and thought it was good, but I suspected it wasn’t.

Any ideas before I ship it back to perfect circuit?

And now it’s working after reset. Still appreciate any ideas.

So this is still a problem. What happens is when an output on AIO gets unplugged, AIO becomes disconnected somehow. Requires reboot to get output back.

Please help if no solution I must return the AIO to perfect circuit.

Edit - Seems if I even tap another one of the plug with a cable it drops out and requires reboot.

Cpu on expander extremely hot. Seemed to work while out of case so perhaps overheating ?

Reached my limit now. I was told to be nicer and I may get help. Please see things from my perspective - since getting this module I have had zero time to play with gear that actually works. I have been patient - thru the explanations of why wavetables don’t work and samplers aren’t functioning. I have attempted to involve myself in the troubleshooting process in the name of goodwill. My meta was broken on day 1, now it looks as though the AIO is bad, if not poorly designed. The cpu is burning to the touch. Perhaps a 10 cent heatsink ? I’m not putting a heatsink on cause it looks like I’ll be sending it in for RMA. Apparently I’m 2 days beyond the 15 day period for returns. I’m not a mean person - I’ve never wrote a 1 star review. Please respond here and let’s all work together as it’s the right thing to do

People (both users and developers) are pretty helpful here, in this discussion forum, but contacting 4ms directly is really the first thing to do if you think you have a broken module.

Their customer support is excellent, but this isn’t the best way to get help.

Please email for warranty support: 4ms@4mscompany.com

4ms is in the middle of moving its entire office to a new building and has been less active on the forum in the last week, but will reply to your email with instructions for sending it in so that you can receive a new unit.
