Editing patches from the gallery, saving does not work

Edit2: As Ross suggested below, selecting audio driver fixes the issue.

Edit 2: Workaround if anyone runs into the same issue, select all modules, copy, delete and paste. Now you can save through the metadata

I can make my own patches, map knobs and export them from vcv rack. However when I download a patch from the gallery and try to make changes , the save button on the meta module (inside of vcv) does not work. Has anyone encountered this same issue? Everything is up to date, and I’ve tried editing and saving on two different computers.

I’ve also deleted and readded the meta module but no dice still.

Edit: It seems to happen to some patches, but not all, I cannot figure out which ones but I suspect maybe the bigger ones can’t be edited.

Are you making sure that you select an audio driver from the Audio module? GUI features on modules do not work unless you select a driver, even if you’re not outputting any sound. Gallery patches often have no driver selected as they were saved on someone else’s computer with a different sound card. People have reported the WiFi button not working and it’s for this same reason.

Please let me know if that doesn’t solve the issue!

Selecting an audio engine does indeed solve the issue, thanks!
