Great to hear it runs well on your M4 Mac. And yes, that makes sense — Drift is not meant to behave like a typical module, so a bit of experimentation is definitely part of it.
About the quirky side: yes, that’s definitely the direction. I don’t want to copy the 0-Coast, but I do want to explore that slightly unpredictable, characterful behavior — just in my own way.
Also, try some internal patching — that’s really where Drift starts to shine. For example, patch TRI into a MLT and play with the SLOPE.

It’s from about 5 years ago, but it still captures the character really well. Listening back to it now reminds me why I liked it so much — and probably why it ended up inspiring me to build something of my own.
