Hello,
I have spent many decades in front of a PC, both privately and professionally. I notice that my eyesight is getting worse and worse.
That’s why I wanted a new hobby without a computer, but the 4ms Metamodule is so versatile that I can’t really ignore it.
My first device is the Behringer Edge and I wanted to get more involved with the modular system.
I’ve been reading a lot and watching videos for over half a year. I’m already dizzy from all the information.
I had actually chosen the following components to start with:
Sequencer: Robaux SWT16+
Analog drum: Weston Precision Audio AD110 Analog Drums
With the 6 outputs of the A110, I wanted to go into a line-in of a stereo effects pedal chain via the AUX output of the Erica Synths Drum Mixer. Sampler: Squarp Instruments Rample.
I wanted to connect this sampler to the 4 audio-in of the Hexinverter Électronique Mutant Hot Glue and use its FX-Out to go into the second line-in of the same stereo effects pedal chain.
But here I still need a second distortion pedal for the analog drums. I then wanted to combine the two outputs of the effects pedals and the respective clean signals in a mixer.
But now I’m thinking about running the whole thing via the 4ms Metamodule instead of the Robaux - SWT16+, WPA AD110 Analog Drums, Hexinverter Électronique Mutant Hot Glue, Erica Synths Drum Mixer and the various effects pedals.
I would be happy if you could answer the following questions for me.
Can I save created drum sequences in the Metamodule or should they also be created completely via the PC?
Is it possible to trigger the Rample with a combination of Turingmachine and Euclid via 4 of the Metamodule outputs?
I would then like to lead the 4 audio outputs of the Rample back into the Metamodule and process them there in an effects chain.
In addition, some drums should run in the Metamodule with their own effects using a Euclid sequencer and the possibilities for random generation for some of this Drums.
I would also like to mix the whole thing in the Metamodule.
The result should then be sent to my speakers via a line-out or two line-outs of the Metamodule via a separate equalizer module. I actually didn’t want to do anything with DAW.
Is this possible or do I need the Robaux sequencer, for example, or would it not work at all as I thought?
Is the whole thing too complex to be easily controlled with the buttons on a Metamodule?
Thank you very much.
