Check out Orca's Heart!

I just made a patch with Orca’s Heart from the Eightfold collection. If you’re interested in generative melodies, I strongly urge you to check it out. It generates eight simultaneous melodic sequences — you give it a scale (or two) and it uses an algorithm to select melodies from them. You can use one melody, or multiple at once, or switch between them. It also creates related modulation sequences. It responds beautifully to modulation — I had the various modulation sources in my rack all going into the Meta and adjusting Orca’s Heart at different rates.

It’s a bit hard to describe but if you enjoy stumbling on lovely tunes and building synth patches around them, give it a try. The not-very-thorough manual is here: Orca's Heart v2 · scanner-darkly/eightfold Wiki · GitHub.

I’m coincidentally playing the included Orcas Heart Octo-Djembe patch right now.

I also used it a little sequencing some physical modules, it is indeed a pretty cool sequencer.

Yes, this module is the centerpiece of many beautiful patches. Thanks to @scanner_darkly !
