Best Filters in MM?

There isn’t a large selection and that is something I miss from VCV Rack. Which ones are your favorites?

I agree, the current selection is a bit lean. I tend to use the MI Ripples clone a lot becuase it’s a “nice” sounding filter. But besides the Befaco Noise Plethora, there’s not many “edgy” filters similar to the Wasp, Korg MS-20 or “acid” type filter. I tend to run sound out of the MM into my rig for filter processing.

I would love to see some of the Vult filters at some point. I’m not running on the dev firmware, but some of the filters that @etcetc is working on porting appear to be interesting variants of traditional filter topologies.

Squinky’s stairway sounds pretty nice with a bunch of different topologies. But if there are filters that are open source that you like, let me know. I can put them on the list.

I just discovered the KocMoc filters in the repository. They are probably the best sounding resonant filters on MM right now.

@hemmer Is there any plan in the future to port the Pony VCF or BF-22 to VCV (and then hopefully to the MM)?

Mm filters are hard . I started Pony VCF a while back but it’s stalled recently. And BF-22 would be sweet, but a big project to do that justice. So nothing in the short term!

Nano FONT is worth trying.

I’ve had plans for a while now to reverse engineer the TB-303 filter from my RE-303 build and finally got around to it:

Should also perform quite well on MM from what I’m seeing so far although I didn’t have time yet to compile and run it on the hardware.
