Befaco Iroi

Since Oneroi’s vcv port was never brought to the meta (being a paid premium vcv module), now that Iroi is officially completely free on vcv, is it able to be ported to the meta?

@hemmer may know?

this would be super nice to have in MM

I’ve got it up and running, and it’s making the right sounds, just need to finish the visual side of things, mainly the buttons for random/shift etc. Good news is that this is open source so should be easier to get help if I get stuck. Draft PR here for people who want to compile up themselves: Add Befaco Iroi to metamodule by hemmer · Pull Request #577 · 4ms/metamodule · GitHub

Looking good @hemmer ! Enjoying this in VCV, really good choice of FX that work well together.

Good progress here, alternative knobs are working well but this actually means there’s no need for shift or map buttons (as alternative knobs are drawn over the top of each other). It’ll make sense when I share a build hopefully!

Anyone want to have a little play and let me know of any issues? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kUk2bD-1ofF-eW4dJpXNnO5oYRg6Z-z7/view?usp=sharing

Doing some testing and thought I would share my testing patch (nothing too complicated). I will have to get the physical version soon since it is really crazy fun. Already own a couple Befaco modules built from the DIY versions (Mutes and Motion MTR). Its great to be able to sample modules and try them out.

Such a great module, thank you for your work on it! I tried to download it from here but looks like the link is pointing to the MM firmware and not the Iroi module, am I missing something? :slight_smile:

@dada.sandor - The Iroi module is part of the ‘built in’ modules and is part of the firmware on this thread. So you have to update to the firmware above and then you should be able to see the Iroi module.

Oh I see! I’ll give it a try this way, thank you!

I guess this will be part of the Befaco modules once it’s released
