Are the basic VCV modules like ‘RANDOM’ availble in MetaModule as Plugins for creating a patch? Or is the only way to add the basic VCV modules is to edit in VCV Rack and send the patch over to MetaModule?
they are available as a plugin called ‘fundamental’. i recommend read this section on how to install/load (if you haven’t already): Using Plugins - MetaModule Manual
tip: set the plugin to autoload so you don’t have to every time you boot up the metamodule
once the fundamental ones are installed, any patch you make in vcv that uses the fundamental modules and transfer to mm will have those modules working

Awesome @offthesky that is where they were hiding, thanks for the response.
Maybe that plugin of ‘fundamental’ could be renamed ‘fundamental VCV’? It seems strange to me that it is not part of the builtin modules.
FYI, from the VCV Rack licence:“VCV” name is trademarked and may not be used for unofficial products.”
Possibly something like “from VCV Rack” would be OK (IANAL), going by the module naming suggestion in the licence.
