Auditioning Samples?

This is really a question and/or feature request so might need to be moved…

Is there an easier way to audition samples apart from loading a sample into a module - triggering it - go back to the slot to load sample - reload - retrigger?

I haven’t tried every sampler module (so I don’t know if any of them do this or have other features that could help) but if, when selecting samples for slots, that sample was played it would be a masssive help, especially when auditioning large numbers of samples. I don’t know whether this would be something that would have to be a feature of the module, or whether the MM could do that as part of its browsing function?

Failing that, a simple way to browse and audition samples on the SD card would certainly help.

don’t believe there’s any way to preview samples, beyond just loading them into a sampler or the wav player and playing them there

this is certainly worthy of the feature requests section
