Need advice for per-note polyphonic velocity using Oxi One

The topic title says most of it but the details are I’m using multitrack mode on the Oxi One to drive a drum patch on the MM. The patch uses individual modules for each voice (BD, snare, HH, etc.) and I’m using midi to gate to trigger each module, which is working great. What I want to do is apply velocity to the modules as well. I’ve added the midi to cv module and tried direct connections, setting the midi to cv module to polyphony and then to split to each module, and with that patch trying all four allocation types (first, last, reset and MPE), but none of these approaches gives the result of applying the correct amount of velocity per note/module that I have set up on the Oxi. Seems like there should be a way to do this. Thought/ideas?

This is doable but it takes some configuring. The solution that occurs to me is to use one MIDI>CV per track, set each to a different MIDI channel, configure the Oxi to use those channels for the different tracks, and take the Gate and Velocity outputs from each of the MIDI>CV modules. I’ve done this in the past and it works — you can make a MetaModule patch and an Oxi One template to make it easier to set it up again next time.

Thanks, I suspected that’s what might have to happen, fortunately I’ve got the split 2 so I can still send normal MIDI to other devices (although I’m really wanting the MIDI module now when it gets released).

Just finished setting it up and trying it out - works perfectly! What I find really interesting is I’m running eight drum/cymbal modules each with it’s own MIDI-CV and the patch still only runs at about 27%.
