Module Finder is live!

I wrote to VCV support on 17.04.25:

With the ever growing list of supported VCV Rack modules I really miss a dedicated “MetaModule” tag to quickly see which modules I can use to create patches in VCV for the MetaModule!

Is this already planned?

I know that there’s a workaround to favorite every plugin that is supported by MM but this would mess up my favorites for VCV as I’m using both VCV Rack 2 as a VST plugin and the MM standalone.

Their answer:

Hi Jan,

Thanks for contacting support and thanks for the feature request!

We will look into adding this feature in a future version of VCV Rack.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

So it still might take some time but they are planning to add a meta module tag to the vcv library, which would be amazing!

You could also write them: support@vcvrack.com

The more people ask, the higher the chance that they will implement it soon

Cheers

Sorry, this is me slipping up. Normally I make a post in the Announcements when we release a new plugin, but I forgot for the last round of updates.

A Date Added field would be useful, I can see that. But it’s a bit complicated to set that up because currently we don’t keep track of all the history of all the modules and brands and when each version first appeared and was bumped up… we just keep track of what’s active. It’s not impossible to do, but for now having a post on the Announcements thread is what’s supposed to happen
