I’m curious how capable the meta module is as a eurorack mixer & fx processor utilizing an internal aux send for meta module effects as well as external aux send / return & then sending a stereo out to a eurorack to line level converter?
Works really well for this, one of my MMs is used solely as an FX processor and controlled by MIDI CC from an adapted Akai MidiMix I have on my desk.
I’d you’re looking to use a lot of CV I’d recommend the audio expander as well. Oh and as some of the more powerful FX are processor heavy so chaining them isn’t always going to work too well at 96khz!
I used to use it like this in the beginning, mixer, fx, sidechain, a few modulation sources.
Initially I built a mixer using smaller components which is very flexible but eats up CPU quickly. I then did most of the mixing with the dBiz performance mixer, that was more CPU effective.
Controlled mainly via USB MIDI.
My only issue was that I sometimes switch patches during a performance but now my entire mix would change when I recall a different patch. So after some deliberation (should I buy a second MetaModule???) I decided to buy a BlueBox Eurorack version just for mixing and fx and I kept the MetaModule as a modulation brain and additional flexible synth voice for my live rig.
