In the load patch menu it says I have 5 open patches. What does this mean? Do the open patches impact CPU? If so, how do I close the open patches.

it means they are loaded into memory
however, only ONE (green arrow) is ever active aka playing.
so no, the others, do not impact CPU… just use a small amount of memory.
being in memory, means you can ‘instantly’ switch between them (as doesnt have to hit the usb/card)
you can also remove the usb/sd card to add patches whilst playing these patches.
I don’t think you can close them explicitly…
(well… at least I cannot remember doing so 
)
